My Design

Clark Sabbat is a 1st generation Haitian – American born in Brooklyn New York. Sabbat’s roots spring from lessons from his Haitian Parents on respect, loyalty and hard work while growing up in a culturally diverse and exciting period of NYC.
Sabbat grew up during the dawn of House music, Graffiti, Hip Hop and at one point was a breakdancer in a dance crew dubbed ” The Street Masters”. The streets of New York were littered with art and artist, it was a breeding ground for inspiration. Sabbat had the privilege to be around artist Keith Haring, Basquait, Warhol, Clemente etc…NYC was “one scene” if you knew where to look, there was always something interesting.
Clark was originally interested in Architecture, but was always gravitating towards clothing and style, Clark taught himself how to draw fashion with the help of his High School art teacher and then applied and was accepted to the Parsons School of Design.
Clark eventually finished his studies at F.I.T and then promptly went into building his own business while freelancing for other designers. His coming of age as a designer was his time in Paris where he designed for various houses while launching his own brand. It was there, Clark learned about the keeping and elevating the quality of design.
Constantly inspired by clean lines, drape, travel and culture. Sabbat is a designer who is constantly evolving without losing sight of how he wants his clothes to make customers feel. “Design doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t exude style”.
