Eye-C-You (“Eye-C-You,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the social networking and community website located at https://eye-c-you.com (the “Site”), where members create a profile, connect with other members, share posts, photos, videos, Reels and Stories, join groups and businesses, send messages, and place and answer video and voice calls with other members.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everyone who visits or registers an account on the Site. It should be read together with our Terms & Services.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Account and profile information
When you register for an account we collect the information you provide, such as your name or username, email address, password, date of birth, gender, and any other profile details you choose to add (for example a profile photo, cover photo, bio, location, or interests). We use this information to create and secure your account, to show your profile to other members, and to personalize your experience on the Site. Registration requires you to be at least 13 years old; see “Children’s privacy” below.
Signing in with Google
You may choose to create an account or sign in using “Sign in with Google.” If you do, Google shares with us only the basic profile information you approve on Google’s consent screen — typically your name, email address, and profile picture — so we can create and log you into your Eye-C-You account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google services, and we do not use the data we receive from Google for advertising. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can review or remove Eye-C-You’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Content you share
We collect the content you post or upload, including status updates, comments, photos, videos, Reels, Stories, Whispers, audio, blog posts, classified ads, marketplace listings, and business-page content. This content is stored so we can display it to you and, depending on your privacy settings, to other members, and so you can manage or delete it later.
Messages, comments and calls
We collect the private messages and comments you send through the Site so we can deliver them to the intended recipient(s) and so you can review your own conversation history. When you use our video or voice call feature, we process connection information needed to set up the call (such as the participants and the time and duration of the call). We do not record or store the audio or video content of your calls.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images or video to the website, you should avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, since other members or visitors who can view that media may be able to download and extract any location data embedded in it.
Payments and memberships
If you purchase a paid membership, boost a post, or buy or sell through our marketplace or classified ads, your payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and basic order details (such as the plan or item purchased and the amount), but we do not collect or store your full card number.
Contact forms
If you contact us directly, for example by emailing contactus@maintesting.eye-c-you.com, we collect whatever information you include in that message (such as your name, email address, and the content of your request) so we can respond to you.
Cookies
We use a cookie-consent tool so you can choose which non-essential cookies to allow when you first visit the Site.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Site Kit (which draws on services such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site — for example which pages are viewed and how visitors found the Site — so we can improve it. This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only in the following circumstances:
- Other members — information on your profile and content you post is visible to other members (and, depending on your privacy settings, to the public) as part of the normal operation of a social platform.
- Service providers — companies that host the Site, deliver email (WP Mail SMTP), process payments, provide spam and abuse detection, or provide analytics (Google Site Kit) as described above. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their service for us.
- Legal and safety reasons — we may disclose information if required by law, or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to investigate a report of abuse, protect the rights, property or safety of Eye-C-You, our members, or the public.
- Business transfers — if Eye-C-You is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal data. Our spam-detection and Gravatar-related processing is described above and further detail on that processor is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile for as long as the account remains active. All users can see, edit, or delete most of their personal information and content at any time from their account settings (except they cannot change their username). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your profile and content within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to keep certain data for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Website administrators can also see and, where necessary to operate or moderate the Site, edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we correct or erase any personal data we hold about you, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw any consent you previously gave us. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have similar rights under California law, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising).
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Our hosting and service providers may process and store data in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Eye-C-You is not directed to children, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account, consistent with our Terms & Services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it. Additional information
How we protect your data
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including encrypting traffic to and from the Site with HTTPS/TLS, hashing account passwords, limiting administrator access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and monitoring the Site for security vulnerabilities. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
What data breach procedures we have in place
If we become aware of a security incident that compromises personal data, we will investigate promptly, take reasonable steps to contain and remediate it, and notify affected members and any authorities required by applicable law within the timeframes that law requires.
What third parties we receive data from
When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information described in “Signing in with Google” above. We also receive a hash of your email address matched against the Gravatar service when you comment, and payment-confirmation data from our payment processor when you make a purchase.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We use basic activity and profile data to power in-app suggestions such as “People You May Know” and to order what appears in your feed. These features personalize what you see but do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Reports of abusive behavior are reviewed by our admin team, and any resulting account suspension or removal involves human review rather than a fully automated decision.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
Eye-C-You is not currently subject to industry-specific regulatory disclosure requirements beyond generally applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA described above. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Site. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
